Google is using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to predict how much electricity its wind farms will produce ahead of time, the tech giant has revealed.
Using machine learning algorithms developed by its AI subsidiary DeepMind, Google announced this week that it can now predict wind output from its farms 36 hours ahead of actual generation, based on weather forecasts and historical turbine data.
